NEET 2020 Online Application Form Released – Apply @ ntaneet.nic.in


NTA NEET 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Application Form for the admissions to undergraduate level medical courses like MBBS and BDS today – 2nd December 2019. Candidates can start applying at the official websites, nta.ac.in or ntaneet.nic.in.

The registration will be allowed till December 31, 2019. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET 2020 will be conducted on May 3, 2020 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m by pen and paper-based mode. The duration of test will be three hours. Applicants will be able to download admit cards from March 2, 2020. The result is expected to be released by June 4, 2020. The Students who pass the NEET will have to appear for counselling rounds conducted by the Health Ministry, Government of India.

NEET-UG 2020 will be conducted in 11 languages and for the first time, the information bulletin will be made available in all these languages. The admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, JIPMER and all Top Medical institutions will also be made through NEET.

Applicants should complete NEET registration & application form 2020, uploading photograph and signature, payment of application fee and finally submitting the form. NEET application fee can be paid only via online mode through Credit/Debit card, Net banking or UPI payment gateway. The NEET application fee has been increased to Rs 1500 for General category. Rs 1400 for EWS and NCL OBC candidates. while SC/ST/OBC candidates will have to pay Rs 800. The correction window facility to edit any mistakes in the application form of NEET 2020 will be begun from January 15 to 31. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria of NEET before they fill the NEET application form 2020.

NEET 2020 Age Limit :

  • Minimum Age : 17 Years
  • Maximum Age:  25 Years 
  • Born Before 31/12/2003
  • 5 year relaxation is given to SC, ST, OBC-NCL & PwD candidates
  • Candidates above 25 years are provisionally permitted to appear and their candidature is subject to the outcome of pending Petitions before the Hon’ble Supreme Court.

NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria :

  • India Citizens & Overseas Citizens of India intending to pursue UG medical course from foreign institutions are also need to qualify NEET UG.
  • Candidates belonging to UT of J&K and Ladakh are eligible to apply under 15% All India Quotas only on the basis of self-declaration.
  • Candidates must have completed 12th level or equivalent examination having Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with English as mandatory subject.
  • Candidates in the 12th level must have secured minimum 50% marks for General & General-EWS categories; 45% marks for PH & 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates in PCB group.
  • Candidates are appearing in their qualifying exam or waiting for their result are also eligible for NEET (UG).

Eligibility Code for NEET 2020 :

CODE 01 : A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2020, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling.

Code 02 : The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with 12 English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

CODE 03 : The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.

CODE 04 : The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical tests in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

CODE 05 : The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

CODE 06 : BSc Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the BSc Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

CODE 07 : Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.
